The church had an excellent weekend at Minsteracres, from Friday 20 June to Sunday 22nd June. We had 57 people on the weekend, including 15 children – our biggest weekend yet, and a sign that our church is continuing to grow post-covid. The weekends typically run from tea-time on Friday to lunchtime on Sunday and we have a mixture of worship, Christian teaching, free time to fellowship together and other activities – for example organised games, hiking around Branchland, exploring the extensive grounds
Ray and Sylvia Mills led the weekend, giving teaching on the subject of God’s Invitation to mankind – an invitation to join a family, to salvation, to serve, to suffer and to victory! Also present were pastor Yesupadham who was visiting from India – he shared with many of us present and spent some time with the children.
The children had their own activities over the weekend, and these included water games (in the 30-degre temperatures!); a nature ramble/treasure hunt, crafts and bible teaching.
