DESCRIPTION:Come along and experience one of our famous BCC ladies breakfasts! You are all welcome\, whether or not you normally come to church. There is also an opportunity for men to receive training through duty in the kitchen! \nThe breakfasts are relaxed and informal\, but the quality of the food has been likened to a 5* hotel. There is always a huge range of food to choose from. We meet at 9 am and enjoy each other’s company and the food for about an hour. After this\, someone gives a short talk about their life experiences. Our speakers come from a variety of churches and backgrounds and have always been entertaining and interesting\, whilst also providing inspiration to help counter the challenges of life. \nThe speaker this time will be Sylvia Mills.

SUMMARY:Church Weekend at Minsteracres
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, Birtley Community Church spends a weekend away\, enjoying fellowship together. These weekends usually start on Friday evening and finish at lunchtime on Sunday. Two nights of accommodation and all meals are included in the £100 price. Children will be charged much less than this (please contact us for details) and are catered for by activities that run through the weekend. We arrange a special programme including teaching by a visiting speaker and in 2025\, 567 people attended this event\, making it a highlight of our church calendar. \nWe always organise a special programme for children\, and in 2025 we had about 15 children with us. \nIn 2026\, the event will be held at Minsteracres as shown in the photograph where there are are beautiful and extensive grounds to explore.
